The driver behind many of Manlab's big ideas, Dan spends most of his time thinking, reading, listening, talking, calculating and writing. At the core of Dan's work is making sure everything makes sense to everyone, although he does tout his "mad PowerPoint skills" a little too much.
Inspired to be an architect by Mike Brady, Dan spent his formative design school days bouncing between Winnipeg, Montreal and Toronto. The longest-serving employee of Manlab, Dan worked part-time on as "as-needed" basis in 1988 before joining the company full-time in 1992.
Dan was an active member of the Manitoba Interactive Digital Media Association, the province's original industry advocacy and professional association. He served as the organization's vice president. With the Canadian Human Resource Council, Dan assisted in developing the New Media Content Creator and New Media Producer competency guides. Dan continues to support local New Media training programs, serving as program advisor and mentor to Louis Riel's Art and Technology Centre and Assiniboine Community College's Web Design program.
